Ireland is one big adventure, I can tell you that much. We docked in Galway, Ireland on Friday the 31st, and we've been adventuring through Ireland since then. ("We" being Katie a.k.a. my roommate, Bronwyn, Steph, Tori, and me.)
Friday, I spent the day going to the Cliffs of Moher. The process of getting there and back took a little longer than I had hoped, but it was seriously cool. Everything looked majestic from our little boat at the bottom. The trip group saw a castle and went to a pub, all the usual things! That evening was spent running around to different pubs, listening to local bands, meeting the locals, and hanging out with some S@S people. Our hostel was right in the middle of it all, and was filled with other students. All in all, such a fun night.
7:00 A.M. on Saturday met us with a bus and a one-way ticket to Cork, the 3rd largest city. It's big and beautiful, with a river running through it. We booked an awesome hostel/bar named Bru (way nicer than the one in Galway). We roamed the streets, bought fresh fruit and sandwich parts from the local English Market, and ate in an adorable park. We made a trip to Blarney Castle and kissed the lucky Blarney stone! Does it have a few germs? Probably. Was it worth it? Yep. Such a cool experience, especially when you see all the history behind it.
The 5 of us are currently on a bus to the busy, capital city of Dublin. More adventures to come!
